There are two majestic lions infront of the estern door which is the main gate of the konarak sun temple. the lion is seen pressing down a big elephant which has caught hold of a man in his trunk. the entire block is in one stone . the image is of 8’4” length, 4’9” in breadth and its height is 9’2”, its weight is 27.48 tonnes.
